P3 Hub Americas 2021
4th March 2021
The global pandemic may mean we can’t meet in person, but our virtual format gives us the opportunity to bring together a range of experts from across the Americas infrastructure spectrum – and beyond – to paint a broad picture of what is happening in the infrastructure market through a mix of live sessions streamed from our venue and experts beamed in from around the world.
P3 Hub Americas will include presentations, keynote speeches and interviews with government officials, industry experts and even a futurist, all trying to make sense of the infrastructure landscape in the 2020s, with the renewed political focus on the environment and ‘building back better’ as the world continues to battle with Covid-19.
Speakers will being you the latest on government thinking, both central and local, as well as how the private sector is navigating the pandemic. All of this is available live to your laptop, or smartphone.
And while we can’t offer you the chance to network over coffee and croissants, you are able to speak online with different delegates. Plus, we do urge you to get involved by submitting your thoughts and questions in real time, so that our experts can make sure they are discussing the key issues that resonate with those in the market.
As the world takes stock following one of the most dramatic and unusual years that anyone can remember, it is becoming increasingly clear that the events of 2020 will have long consequences, and infrastructure will play an important role in the recovery.
Last July, the Biden Plan was published, pledging to “develop innovative financing mechanisms that leverage private sector dollars” to deliver a “clean energy revolution”. With Joe Biden now installed in the White House, and continuing chatter about a comprehensive infrastructure bill in Congress, the US looks set to lead the continent out of the downturn caused by the pandemic.
President Biden will not be alone: whether considering Canada to the north or any number of Latin American countries to the south, the Americas are primed to use infrastructure to boost their economies, with private finance ready and waiting to play a key part.
Session topics to include:
- Fireside chat with Futurist and 311 Institute CEO Matthew Griffin, “The advisor behind the advisors”
- Infrastructure post-pandemic: Responding to the new normal
- Innovation and higher education – a growing sector
- ‘Innovation in operation’
- Procurers from across the Americas discuss their procurement plans, pipeline of projects and overcoming challenges in 2021 and beyond
