As CEO of the 311 Institute and World Futures Forum the future has always fascinated me, and I still find it amazing that today all the technologies we think of as science fiction, from holograms to tractor beams, from molecular assemblers to self-evolving AI’s and robots, are now science fact. Fuelled by hundreds of powerful, and increasingly democratised emerging technologies, today individuals, let alone companies, have the power to impact the lives of billions of people, and disrupt the global status quo at a previously unfathomable rate and scale.
