Stephen Pattrick, CEO of Newcross Healthcare Solutions, one of the UK's largest providers of nurses and personalised healthcare, invited Matthew to keynote the company's annual leadership conference in Gibraltar, followed by a fireside chat with Stephen.
In a keynote titled The Future of Longevity and Healthcare, Matthew was asked to focus on the role of AI in improving patient outcomes and on the ways human lifespans can be extended, against a backdrop of growing global pressure as deaths from non-contagious diseases far outstrip those from accidents and contagious diseases.

The first half of the session looked at solutions to the rising number of deaths linked to climate change, mental health, poor diet and poor lifestyle choices. These included new food production methods and AgTech 3.0, new ways to tackle heat in hot cities, and new approaches to mental health and to reducing deaths from suicide.
The second half turned to AI in healthcare: how ever more powerful models are helping develop new antibiotics and vaccines in minutes, unravel the mysteries of the human body to supercharge predictive healthcare, and democratise access to healthcare professionals and specialist life saving services in ways that would have seemed impossible just a few years ago.
