WHY THIS MATTERS IN BRIEF
The future is boundless, and exponential technologies are re-inventing every culture, industry, and society at an increasingly furious rate. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
Firstly, I’d like to thank the team at RT for inviting me to take part in their nine part documentary The Future is Now which started airing last month around the world and which took the team over two and a half years to pull together in which time, ironically, the world has changed a lot.
This documentary is also the perfect example of what many of the readers of my blog already know – not only is the rate of global change accelerating, but the rate of acceleration is itself accelerating, and the future never stands still.
From the future of food, robotics, and space travel, to the future of homes, life extension, transportation and beyond we discussed it all, right through to 2070, and as the documentary clearly highlights no corner of global culture, industry, or society will be left untouched which makes it more important than ever that we’re prepared for it.
I hope you enjoy the show, and if it leaves you wanting to learn more then don’t forget my very own Bitesize Future which started airing last week.
