WHY THIS MATTERS IN BRIEF
The future of Artificial Intelligence is not what you think it is… it’s not digital, it’s biological.
Firstly, I’d like to thank the team at Re:Comm for inviting me to be this years keynote speaker in snowy Kitzbuhel, Austria, along luminaries including Aubrey de Grey, one of the world’s top anti-aging pioneers whose work I’ve been following closely for years and whose “Roadmap to End Aging” sounds absolutely fascinating. And as someone who ages I hope he manages to find the Fountain of Youth soon, although as Aubrey and I discussed when we do find it society will have a host of new challenges to deal with, but that’s a story for another article.
During my keynote I was discussed the Future of Artificial Intelligence and took the assembled audience on a 45 minute whirlwind tour of the state of AI and took the lid off some of the most exciting developments in the field over the past few years.
Developments that included the creation of Creative Machines that can accelerate an organisations rate of innovation by anywhere between thousands fold and millions fold, the emergence of self-designing, self-evolving, self-learning, and self-replicating AI’s. And much more, including the democratisation of content creation and creativity.
But we didn’t stop there, we also discussed the emergence of DNA neural networks and even 3D printed AI’s to prove that the future of AI isn’t what you think it is… And as the snow came down outside we then rounded out with some questions and mulled what it would be like to live to the ripe old age of 150 when humans are DNA supercomputers, so, all in all, just another regular day at the office.
