The Future of Web 3.0 and Human Potential | Michigan State University, USA | Matthew Griffin | Lecturer and Keynote Speaker

WHY THIS MATTERS IN BRIEF

We already live in a sci-fi world, but new technologies and new ways of working are soon going to help humanity reach new highs, accomplish new things, and unleash our potential like never before.

Firstly, thank you to Neil for asking me to take his lecture at Michigan State University, and asking me to present on the Future of Blockchain and the 100X Human where we not only discussed the future of one of the world’s most impactful general purpose technologies, but also discussed how new emerging technologies, like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Creative Machines, and Digital Humans will help the students 100X their potential and productivity in new ways.

The lecture was broken into three sections: The future of exponential technologies and disruption, the future of Blockchain, and the future of human potential. And all three were a trip into the wormhole where science fact is increasingly as strange, if not stranger, than science fiction.

As the rate of global disruption and transformation continues to accelerate, in part thanks to the emergence of increasingly affordable, accessible, and powerful exponential technologies like AI and Blockchain, and in part to an increasingly digital and connected world, the world has now reached a point when we can disrupt global industries in a day, as well as create autonomous companies that operate and scale themselves.

But, as fast and as potentially challenging this new world sounds, many of these same technologies are helping unlock human potential in ways that would have been unimaginable even just a decade ago, and that opens up a whole new world of possibility.
